Many people come to Red Door Designs wanting a new website or logo, and I respond, “Great! Tell me about your business. Who is your target customer? What are your mission and values? How is your company different than your competition? Where are you headed in 5/10/20 years?”

Often times, I get blank stares. The trouble is, people know the importance of branding without wholly understanding what a brand actually is.

Put simply, your brand is the face of your business – including your overall aesthetic (color palettes and typographic choices) and your company’s personality (brand voice and messaging) – all empowered by your brand identity (mission and values).

Your identity has to come first, though, since trying to overhaul a website without a solid brand foundation is like trying to put lipstick on a pig.   • Clarify Your Company Message: I'II fine-tune your BrandScript until your company message is clear and compelling. This can be used on your website as well as ALL your company’s marketing materials.
  • Craft Your Company One-Liner[SW1] : A One-Liner is a concise statement that clearly outlines the problem you help your customers solve in a simple, relevant, and repeatable way. It helps you answer the question, “What do you do?"
  • Develop Brand Materials: We’ll then incorporate your Brand Story into clean, impactful design – creating a cohesive brand look and feel across all touchpoints including your letterhead, business cards, and email signature.

Package # 2: Brand Story + Design + MarketingOf course, having a great brand is only half the battle: you also need to shout it from the rooftops. I’ll help you develop a strategy for turning your new Brand Story into a website that converts, so that your brand works as hard as you do.
In addition to all the activities in Brand Story + Design, with this package you will get to:
  • Build a Website Wire-Frame: A wireframe is simply the skeleton of a website. It’s the basic structure and big ideas laid out in black and white. There are no colors or images yet. It’s a working sketch that allows you to visualize your site and make changes on the fly.
  • Get a Homepage Design Mockup: Your homepage is your business’s most valuable piece of real estate, and websites that are full of noise can kill potential sales. Using the message you created in your BrandScript, I'II walk you through each section that should appear on your homepage[SW2]  to make sure your site is working for you, not against you. We’ll start with the home page then create or declutter additional pages as needed.
  • Gather Impactful Testimonials: Powerful stories of your customer's transformation are critical if you want to create raving fans of your business. I'll walk you through the questions you need to ask your top clients in order to capture these stories of transformation, and present them in a way that is clear, compelling, and enticing to potential customers.

 [SW2]Similarly, we hyphenated this in some places and had it as one word in others. I’m familiar with it as one word so that’s how I’ve used it.
